Gears of War 2 Matchmaking - Sorted or just a cover up?

It has been reported that the matchmaking in Gears 2 has undergone a significant transformation making the time taken to start a game considerably less, and support for a larger number of players per server.

Many fans showed their frustration at the sheer amount of time it took to actually get playing. This change could be the final piece of the puzzle to make this an even better experience.

This news however, comes with a stern warning that players may still experience delays due to things such as party sizes that are not capable of being matched with each other. This is not all bad though as its been said that the work is not finished yet.

What could be on the horizon i wonder?
