Introduction
What a change from five years ago, opening the package, and lo and behold a comfortable fitting controller pops into your hand. We all remeber the problems with the original Xbox pad that ended up with Microsoft inventing a smaller pad.

I'm going to be frank and estimate that it put people off buying an Xbox for the first year or so, learning from this error, this time Microsft actually invested some time into the design of the new controller and as such we have a brillinat piece of hardware.

Whilst Nintendo technically released the first real wireless pad, Microsft have really taken the ideals of that and made a true success from it. The addition of an offical battery pack, and the availability to use the pad for computer use has ensured that the 360 contoller is a brilliant piece of gaming hardware.

The build quality of the controller is also better than that of the original, the pad is snug in your hand, the buttons aren't too hard or soft, the bumpers are nice and clicky. The pad as a whole is brilliant.

And last of all, the logo in the centre actually does something this time!
Good Points
- Nice and snug
- Decent battery life
- Works, unlike the orignal pad
- Compatible with the PC
- No more messy wires (a bit obvious)
- Brillinat invention of the bumper
- Triggers instead of shoulder buttons
Bad Points
- A tad pricey
- Battery pack isn't included
- Terrible D-Pad
The Verdict
A brilliant piece of gaming hardware, but if you aren't too far from the console itself then consider the cheaper wired version. A big improvement from last generation.

In a Word - Brilliant

Introduction
Ever since the wireless mouse was first invented game system developers have been adapting this technology to their hardware. With the new generation of gaming consoles, wireless is standard and a wonderful luxury when compared to the old days of NES.
Good Points
-Obviously, no wires to get tangled or trip over
-Syncs it's self with the 360, no switches for your buddies to change to a different player and jump off a ledge when someone isn't paying attention
-Very well designed to fit into the gamer's hands
-Long battery life
Bad Points
-Rechargeable battery costs and extra 20 bucks (should be standard)
-No warning before the controller dies leaving you like a statue in the middle of the battlefield if it goes at the wrong time
-Only comes in white (call me old fashioned but I liked it better when they came in a variety of florescent colors)
The Verdict
As far as controllers go, it's one of the most comfortable. As far as features go, Microsoft should stop being cheap and make rechargeable batteries standard. But given the option of wireless or wired, I would go with wireless simply because the batteries last long enough to where it's only an occasional hassle unlike a daily hassle of untangling cords.

Introduction
I previously hated consoles coz could never get the hang of the controllers. This however is the easiest and most intuitive controller I have ever come across.
Good Points
Wireless so no getting the cable tangled up or being tripped over.
Very comfortable even after hours of play, no aching or even sweaty palms.
Central X-box button allows for remote power-on of the x-box (so dont even need to get outta your seat to turn it on) and quick easy access to the console option at any point while playing a game.
Bad Points
hmmm!!! none that I can think of
The Verdict
At last a controller that provides a level of dynamic adapabilty and control as a keyboard mouse. Hardcore PC gamers, the gauntlet has been thrown down.
