I needed this router to split our NTL boradband internet connection between 3 computers.

I thought that this was going to be a horrible task and would take a long long time and lots of errors to get it working, but in actual fact, once our connection was up and running on one machine (which was a matter of following NTL's instructions) it was then a matter of minutes before we were able to use all three computers at once using the router.

Inside the box you have a quick setup guide, which works really well. This mini booklet is setup in four sections, and makes everything really clear for the reader, and there are not many steps to getting it up and running, and the setup guide is printed in full colour which is good.

N.B The man in the shop said that this router works best with NTL, and he recommended a different router for BT Broadband users, to take this in to account if you are looking to setup broadband internet using a router.

Simple to setup and only takes minutes.

Easy to read instructions which are quick and to the point.

The router has a whole host of options for you to play with to alter the way the LAN works.

You do not need to setup NTL on every machine, simply change a few settings on your PC (which the booklet shows you how to do very clearly) and your away.

The price seems good to me, and it's made by Linksys (part of Cisco Systems) so you can assume you're getting quality equipment - which is just what this router is, it looks great, and it's not a bad size at all and worked for us immediately.

Has four ports on it, and if thats not enough for you, you can plug another hub into it to increase the number of connected computers / laptops.

No Weaknesses so far.

If you've got NTL Broadband and want to share the connection between multiple computers, you're going to need a router, and I highly recommend this one, as i had no trouble getting it setup, due to the simpe and clear step by step instructions.
