Introduction
Was looking for a cheap light laptop for word excel & broadband.
Good Points
light, quick out of the box, quicker when you have tweaked it.No drop in speed when all the antis/firewall/office & broadband loaded.The Acer manager makes everything easy for those who are not advanced users. Yes it does have only 40gb but all important date should be on a DVD backup.
6gb is hidden for a full system restore.
Bad Points
Battery life only about 1 1/2 hours however you can turn down brightness, speed etc; The touchpad can be a bit ''touchy'' ie it wont work at midday but it comes back on in the afternoon! very strange
The Verdict
if you are looking for a cheap laptop for want i use it for this is best i have tried, all the others where to heavy, to noisey ''fan'' to watch a DVD, & the battery life was 1 hour or less. Buy it but get to know it & protect it before going on the net.
