Introduction
Bose are renowned for their high quality audio systems, and their Companion 3 Multimedia Speaker System for PC is no exception.

Extract from Bose website:
Tiny satellite speakers provide lifelike, spacious sound for computer audio sources such as CDs, DVDs, Internet radio and gaming, as well as portable audio players. Easily mount them to your flat panel monitor for a speaker-free desktop.

Proprietary TrueSpace? technology enables a wide soundstage from closely spaced speakers on your desk or on the sides of your flat panel monitor.

The compact ACOUSTIMASS? module from Bose delivers clean, deep low frequencies into the room. The module can be hidden almost anywhere in the listening area and allows for small, elegant speakers without sacrificing performance.

The control pod is intuitive and convenient, this multi-function pod houses volume control, headphone jack and connection for a second audio source such as an MP3 player.
Good Points
Very high quality audio from two very small satelite speakers.

The control pod makes everything easy to use. If you want to play your portable MP3 player or other portable device through the bose speakers, simply plug the device into the line in via a jack to jack lead. The control pod also allows for headphones to plug in, which means no more fiddling around loads of wires to get them plugged in. The pod also contains the volume control, which is a black ring which you turn to adjust volume. You can also mute the speakers via the touch-sensative part.

Speakers look fantastic in their silver colour.

Very few wires to worry about which makes a change from my last speaker system which got in a tangle all the time.

Bass quality is remarkable. Bass is played appropriately even when sound is very low! It's really a remarkable speaker system.
Bad Points
The only bad thing i can say about the Bose Companion 3 System is that the speakers require the PC to be turned on for them to function so if you want to listen to a portable mp3 players using the speakers, you can't just plug in and use without having the PC on.
The Verdict
?200 may seem like a lot of money for some PC speakers, but if you are looking for high quality audio with an easy to use system, then these are the speakers for you. They come with a 10 year garauntee and they should last much, much longer!
