Introduction
This is a wireless router designed to work hand in hand with the BT Voyager 1010 adapters.
Good Points
This allows you to have a network without wires. This gives great freedom of movement especially for laptop's or if you want to have a desktop where you dont have an available network socket.
Wireless network works quite well with minimal setup required. It is primarily used as a router to feed a Broadband connection to receiving PC's with the 1010 adapters.
Bad Points
The software that bt have written to connect the 1010 adapters with the router is diabolical. Although your computer clearly states that it can see the router and is also evident by having an active network, the software written to convert the DSL signal on the PC will tell you it cannot find the router. This get you in a never ending loop because you cannot change the router setting to make it find it without finding it first. This problem occurs maybe one a month which is irritating to say the least. This means you have to do a hard reset of the router an then you have to set up the DSL again which takes about three quarters of an hour.
The Verdict
On the whole a good concept but ececuted disasterously by BT. They really need to fire their software engineers. Not recomended for a family with no one around to fix it all the time.
