Introduction
Telivo were one of the few service providers i could find that had a minimum 1 month contract; most are a minimum of 12 months; when I found telivo i thought this was great, but read on...
Good Points
Initialy it seems like a good deal, The connection was good at 57.6kb/s as a standard 512 connection, and I had no downtime or disconnections, so a very stable connection.
Bad Points
Essentially...a rip off. When cancelling you have to pay for an extra months service, the 'free' modem and a ?40 cancelation charge. In total the cancelation fee's came to approximately ?100...which is insane. Essentiallythis 'great' 1 month minimum 'no ties' contract is worthless, as when cancelling they almost bring yoiu up to a years worth of charges anyway. 12 months witha competative provider comes to approximately ?179.99. If you want to cancel during a 12 month contract you have to pay the rest of the year, again in total working out at about ?179.99. For 3 months service it cost me a total of ?150...again, insane. Essentially it sounds great, but is useless, STAY AWAY.
The Verdict
Essentially a rip-off. they claim its a 'no ties' 1 month minimum cntract, but they bolt on enough of a cancelation charge to make it almost as expensive as simply cancelling a 12 month contract. Stay Away.
However, if you arn't interested in the minimum 12 month contract the service itself isn't bad, however its not the cheapest at all, personally i would avoid Telivo as they dont show any obvious advantage over any other service provider, their only unique selling point being seriously flawed.
