Introduction
I've been with Pipex for a couple of years - I needed a good reliable ISP for a business account, and they appeared a good choice.
Good Points
Most of the time the connection was good, and no problems
Bad Points
Technical support and customer support.
When the connection dropped ( no connection at all ) then there was firstly a problem contacting their technical support, then there response was that they would 'get an engineer to have a look in 1 to 6 days' after that we'll pass it over to BT if it's their problem, and if it's not you'll be charged about 140GBP for the trouble.
Putting out that 6 days downtime was not really acceptable for a business was simply met with 'well, that's teh level of service we provide'. Says it all really.
The Verdict
OK when everything is working.
When there is a problem, there is virtually zero technical support and customer care. It seems to be considered your problem, rather than theirs. Astoundingly awful customer care.
