Introduction
Windows Vista Home Premium delivers the productivity and entertainment that you need from your PC at home or on the go. It includes Windows Media Center, which helps you more easily enjoy your digital photos, TV, movies, and music. Plus, you'll have the peace of mind of knowing that your PC has a whole new level of security and reliability. All together, Windows Vista Home Premium redefines enjoyment in home computing.
Good Points
*Greatly enhanced security
*Great performance without top-notch hardware
*Good selection of tools to experiment with in Home Premium and above
Bad Points
*Old skills have to be re-learned
*Potentially an expensive upgrade
*Security warning accompany many configuration changes
The Verdict
I would prefer Windows XP Home edition. It doesnt slow down your computer as much as Windows Vista. I have windows vista on my laptop, which is a 1.73GHz dual core processor but it does not run as quickly as Windows XP home edition.

Introduction
Windows Vista is Microsoft latest operating system which comes in many different flavors. I choose the Vista Home Premium Upgrade edition.
Good Points
Nice Interface
New games that come out of the box
Many new Features
Bad Points
Sound Problems
Programs crash often
The Verdict
Windows Vista Home Premium is quite good but is not very much different from Windows XP. Although it does come with lots of new features, with a good DVD maker and 4 new games you can play from right out of the box.

People do say it has compatibility issues, but I have been running Mozilla Firefox, McAfee Internet Security 2007, Microsoft Office 2003, iTunes and a whole load of other programs plus PC's are already coming out with Vista installed on them already.
