Introduction
I have a blue ipod mini - althought I still cant't decided whether I prefer the pink or blue. I was quite lucky to have got mine as early as I did. I ordered from Amazon 2 days before it was released and got it within a week.
Good Points
Its the best invention ever - especially if you love your music.

Its not very heavy and I like the belt clip. The calendar is also extremely useful.
Bad Points
The white wheel gets quite dirty sometimes.

It sometimes takes a long time to turn on, so I have had to reset it numerous times.

It can get embarrassing when you start singing along with your ipod in public.
The Verdict
A must buy - I have almost convinced by my 60 year old Dad to get one.

Introduction
Ipod's little brother is now in store and is smaller than ever, packing a massive 4GB of memory into such a small device making it the coolest MP3 Player available today.

Ipod mini is available in a range of colours (Blue, Silver, Pink, Green and Gold) and features the all new click-wheel - Unlike previous Ipods the menu buttons are situated underneith the touch sensetive wheel and are activated by pressing down on each button.

All the features from the regular Ipods are also found on the Ipod mini, and the ipod mini does not include anything new in that department.
Good Points
Very sleek design, and the whole thing feels much more durable when you're holding it, whereas the regular Ipods feel like they can be damaged easily (in my opinion).

The Ipod Mini comes in a variety of colours, and the finish on them is excellent - metalic paint look.

Click wheel is innovative and quicker to use than the regular touch wheel, and helps make the ipod mini as small as it is, which makes holding and using it with only one hand easy and comfortable.

Ipod mini is scratch resistant, so you don't always have to keep it in a protective case.

Comes with both the Firewire Cable and USB 2.0 cable.

Comes with 4 good games loaded onto it which are great to play while waiting for the bus.
Bad Points
Doesnt hold as much memory as it's bigger brother, but 4GB is enough for me personally.

I do fear that with the constant clicking of the touch wheel, it's more likely to become worn compared to the all-touch-sensetive Ipod.

Doesn't come with all the extras like the 20GB Ipod did - with the Ipod Mini you must buy the docking station, protective case and remote seperately, at around ?20 - ?30 each.
The Verdict
Ipod's are great, and the arival of the Ipod Mini reinforces that. If like me you don't tend to buy a lot of albums, but like lots of individual songs then the 4GB of memory is easily enough to store your music, but if you really are a music fanatic, and own every Led Zeppelin album under the sun then you'll most likely fill the 4GB storage space in no time, so may want to consider a 20 or 40GB Ipod.

Introduction
This is the best ipod money can buy (At the time of writting).

It only has 4gigabytes of memory compared to 20 or 40 gigabytes on the other ipods, but personaly i dont use more than 3, and i'd rather have something thats more durable and comfotable to keep in your pocket
Good Points
Much more durable, and a better finish on the outside.

Screen size is just right

Backlight is good.

4gb is still a lot of memory.

Good array of games to play on which make good use of the wheel.
Bad Points
Doesn't come with the remote.

Battery life only 8 hrs
The Verdict
Buy this ipod over any of the others unless you have a monstrously large music collection. Even if you have over 4gigs worth, you might want to consider this ipod as you can always reorganise your ipod when you get bored of the songs that are on it.

Introduction
For my birthday last month I got an Apple Ipod Mini (4 gigs).

I can honestly say this is the coolest gadget i've ever seen! I've always wondered what the fuss was all about with Ipods, and now i know - they have a touch sensetive wheel to select your songs, it can catagorise all your songs into many different headings such as Artists, Genres etc, and holds just a whole load of songs! Mine is the silver Ipod and it looks excellent, is really small and fits into my pocket and i don't even realise it's in there!
Good Points
+ Wow, it's such a cool little gadget, holds all my songs and has a backlight so you can use it in the dark.

+ Touch sensetive wheel with a clicky button in the middle which is the 'OK' button.

+ Sweet looking colour, and so far the outter shell isn't scratched one little bit - my mates all have the 20gigabyte normal version with the chrome on the back of it, and they're all scratched to peices!

+ The earphones that come with it are amazing! such high quality sound and comfortable in the ear.

+ some really fun little games on the ipod

+ you can store all your contacts and other notes and reminders on the ipod.

+ The ipod can also act as a portable hard drive which is a wicked idea!

+ It's Mac and PC compatable.
Bad Points
It would be cool if they could bring out new software which would allow you to transfer new games to the ipod.
The Verdict
I don't know what these cost, as it was a present, but you should definately get the mini ipod if you're looking to get one at all - who needs 20 gigs of memory for their music anyway?!

Introduction
First let me say that Apple's online store is the best place to order an ipod of any description as you can get it laser engraved when you order (for an additional ?15).
Good Points
Much smaller than the other ipods, and the mini ipod just feels more complete - if you've used both you know what i mean.

cheaper than other ipods.
Bad Points
As has already been said the features on the ipod mini are exactly the same as the standard ipods which is a shame. Also, storage capacity is a lot lower.
The Verdict
Definately the Ipod to get if you are only using it as a music player, but if you plan to double up as a hard drive, you will want the standard ipod with 20 or 40gb.
