Introduction
The new ipod mini which comes with 6GB of storage, and a massive 18 hours battery life.
This ipod is essentially the same as previous ipods and does the same job.
Good Points
I like the ipod mini over any other type of ipod, such as the 20gb one or the ipod shuffle. It's small in size and can be used in one hand, unlike the 20gb standard ipod.
I used to have a blue ipod mini (4GB) and it was blue in colour. I ordered the 6GB version in blue, and it's a very saturated blue colour which i like much more.
Full battery charge will last 18 hours roughly which is a huge improvement over the 8hour 4GB version.
6GB instead of 4GB is a nice improvment, and currently the new ipod is only ?30 more expensive than the 4GB version.
Bad Points
Comes with USB2 cable only, and no firewire.
Doesn't come with a charging plug, you have to buy this seperately, but this does not mean you cant charge the ipod, because you can do so via the USB2 cable when its connected to your PC, but this isn't ideal as you may wish to charge it when you're away on holiday or something, when you dont have access to a computer.
The Verdict
The new 6GB version is a nice improvement on the 4GB version, and it's also the same price as the 4GB ipod mini used to be when it first came out (The 4GB has been reduced by ?30 now).
I recommend spending the extra money to get this version over the 4GB because i feel the extra 10 hours battery life (18 hours total) and extra 2GB or storage (6GB total) is more than worth the extra ?30.
