Introduction
Definately maybe is Oasis debut album which almost made them household names (it was their enxt album that would finally achieve that) and is possibly still their finest album, even after 13 years together.
Good Points
All the tracks are strong songs, you can listen to it from beginning to end no worries. Live Forever is a great song, its a statement of british culture in the nineties, carrying on what blur had started with ''Parklife''. Great songwriting on display throughout.
Bad Points
The musicianship is not overly noteworthy and the guitar solos are a bit drab at times - Noel Gallagher as a lead guitarist does find himself out of his depth. Not particularly varied in style apart from the last track.
The Verdict
A huge statement of British rock in the nineties, this album came out at the beginning of the britpop era and is one of the landmark albums of its time. But it wasn't as good as many of its predecessors and has since been eclipsed by others.

Introduction
Definitely maybe was Oasis's debut album, and arguably their best to date. It has been hailed as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) records of all time, let alone the best British rock ?n? roll record.
Good Points
The album is now 10 years old, and does not sound dated at all

Supersonic ? One of the greatest songs every written/recorded. It is slightly too slow paced, catchy, has amazing lyrics/vocals and has great guitar sounds/solos. I?ve listened to track loads, and it isn?t even starting to lose its appeal.

Live forever ? Even better than Supersonic in my opinion, and that?s saying something. This track has great, simple lyrics (song writer Noel said it practically wrote itself) and brilliant vocals. The track also has one of the best guitar solos ever.

Slide away ? This track too is nothing short of amazing, and it wasn?t even released as a single! Noel has surely thrown away a further money making opportunity here, although he never was one to milk his songs, and that?s something I admire about him.
Bad Points
Digsy?s dinner ? I happen to like this song, but I?ve heard many do not. It?s a bit of a silly song written about a member of another band for some reason.
The Verdict
I would love to hear a re-recording of this album, because Oasis are now better musicians and Liam?s Voice sounds deeper, rustier and just a lot better.

This is definitely (there?s no maybe about it) my favourite album ever created, and I recommend it to anyone. Some of the tracks are very uplifting and inspiring and I can listen to this if I?m feeling down to fill me with positive energy. That is the measure of a good album in my opinion, and I think many of the mediocre bands within the same genre that we?ve been seeing lately, should look to Oasis for inspiration.

The best ?1.50 I ever spent!
