Introduction
WARNING!!! do not fall for the misconception that this will be a film for kids, just because the film contains santa and is about xmas, you couldn't be more wrong!!
anyway it's that time of year again, where everyone preys for a white christmas, everyone is jolly and a family member always gets overly drunk at the xmas party and embarrasses everyone.
also during this time of the year at least one film about santa clause (father christmas) is released for kids to continue there imagination of innocence but this is solely for adults.
it's about a criminal (billy bob thornton) and his little friend who hate their lives and compensate by breaking practically every law ever created (santa does anyway).
they find the perfect job to get into, who everyone trusts and no one would ever suspect to put a step wrong with anything.
Good Points
billy bob thornton (santa) plays as a alcaholic, sexaholic criminal that hates every second of his life and tries to share his joy (hatred) with kids every xmas.
he starts off by asking kids what they want for xmas but he really doesn't care the slightest about anyone and you'll clearly see this almost every time he opens his mouth.
billy bob thornton, really made this film come to life and i doubt any other actor would have played the role any better.
the film has many funny elements throughout the entire script and it will be difficult to find someone that won't chuckle at least once.
Bad Points
if you hate profanity, stay well away from this film, nearly every time someone speaks, it contains strong language.
some people might decide against watching this film because it contains santa and might assume it's for kids.
the story could of been better at times but most comedies are a little weak in this department and rather concentrate on humour.
The Verdict
don't let little kids anywhere near this one, i can't stress that enough, the film is mainly aimed at older teenagers and people in there early twenties.
this film has some very funny lines and santa is so bad, it will be criminal not to laugh at him.
it's definately not everyones cup of tea but with a few friends and the ability to laugh, you'll cry yourself to sleep this christmas.
