Introduction
King Arthur is a modern cinematic portrayal of the King Arthur myth which involves tales of the legendary sword as well as Camelot and the knights of the round table.
Good Points
A British acting fest with virtually no American actors. This works well in most 'British films' however it is doubtful wether this film is actually british or not, still it gives a greater realistic depth to the film especially as Kevin Kostner isn't in it.
Some great action sequences especially the battle on the ice over the huge inland lake, which breaks up.
Kiro Knightley (spelt wrong) looks fantastic.
A gritty film that steers away from the usual feel- good factor of hollywood fakery.
Bad Points
The lead roles acting is a bit wooden and stale. don't know who he is.
Film draws on too long in some sequences. The lake part was great but spoilt by drawing it out way too long!
The Verdict
An ok film, that is unique in that it uses 'fresh' actors and steers away from the normal design of such historical films. However any king arthur or camelot myth ethusiast is bound to be slightly dissapointed.
