Drummers the world over compete in a global competition, the WFD, for bragging rights over who has the fastest fingers on the planet... ladies? Participants must go through competition officials, much like people breaking a guiness world record. Drummers' single-stroke hits are measured on a Drumometer™ - a device which logs how many times the surface has been struck over 1 minute. The score is visible at all times, and as Chris Senior shows us in his video (see link below) that score sky-rockets by the second!
Chris Senior has been teaching drums for many years and currently runs two studios in Bishop's Stortford and Hoddeston. He currently holds the unofficial title of 2nd fastest drummer in the UK, and from his video you can see why! Click the link below to see him in action:
Worlds Fastest Drummer
Alternative versions of the competition include fastest feet.
All I can say is, i'd sure hate to be stuck in the middle of a paintball field with anyone participating in this!
