Introduction
The popular boss tuner in the form of a stomp box. Anyone who's anyone uses this pedal, its very very popular. As with all Boss stomp boxes this is in metal casing and as such can take a good beating without being affected.
It has a very clear scren with a green light in the middle for perfect pitch and 5 red lights either side to indicate how sharp or flat the note is.
There are also 3 separate lights for extra help, a red one in the middle at the top to notify the perfect pitch and a yellow arrow either side to indicate whether the note is sharp or flat.
The unit is a chromatic tuner which means it automatically detects which note your guitar string is playing.
There is also an optional bypass mode so your guitar doesn't turn quite when you're using the tuner.
There are also two more buttons: ''stream/cent'' and ''mode''. I don't have cause to use them and as such don't know what that do but they're there if you want them!
Good Points
Very very reliable.
Durable.
Easy to use.
Great accuracy - fantastic in fact.
More functionality available if you want it.
Very clear indications as to pitch.
Can be used with Electric guitar and electric bass.
Bad Points
Can be hard to find in the shops. None of the online shops I tried had them in stock and when I went to londons famed Tin Pan Alley only one shop had one of these. And I mean they only had one. I bought it.
The Verdict
Fantastic pedal. For all your tuning needs get this pedal. If you can find it. Its worth it though, i've tried a number of tuners and none of them come close to this one.
