Shepherd & Dog, Ipswich

According to the Evening Star in Ipswich, The White Hart was voted the Pub of Year 2005, with an excellent food recommendation.

Pros: None

cons: Booked a meal, but did not need to as when we arrived we were the only ones dining. The pub was almost empty, no atmosphere whatsoever, also I noticed it was a very untidy and unclean pub. We decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, ordered 3 roast dinners, which were absolutely tasteless and probably been warmed up from the day before, the gravy was like dishwater and the portions were very small. We ordered homemade desserts which were ?4 each and found these to be overpriced for what one received. Choice of 2 Red Wines!! Sunday Roast! 6.95 Homemade Desserts! ?4

conclusion: Definately will not go back there again very disappointed. Need to clean up their premises very shoddy. Had to buy a takeaway on the way home.
