Wii Points (Wii)

By: Rex Inego | Jan 09, 2007 04:00 PM

Nice and easy to use, which is good for the non-gamers targeted by the Wii's advertising campaign. These points are fairly simple to use, with their sole purpose to unlock classic games on the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console and in the near future to purchase software upgrades.

The points, in my opinion, are over priced and I think a drop of about three pounds would be more fair to the customers, considering the small amount of effort put into placing the games on the Virtual Console.

However later on, being able to download something like a simple annimation program or a proper USB enabled Media Centre would certainly be worth downloading, at the right price.

On the Virtual Console side of things, there are new games added on Fridays and these range across a multitud of consoles including; NES, SNES, N64, Mega Drive and the NEC Turbo Graphics.

Pros: -Easy to use -erm...nice card....erm...art -All the different games (and later on software) that will be exclusively available form the Download Centre

cons: -Over priced

conclusion: Fairly good system, but I would like to see some games from the Game Boy and Game Boy Colour added soon to play some classic hand held games aswell.
