Introduction
I was on Cileste for a while but it made me very emotional and I was depressed all the time so I started taking Femodette just over a month ago as the doctor said it is a lesser dose or something so the side effects should not be so pronounced. It seemed fine for a week or so but I have had to come off it over the last couple of weeks because it was making me terribly grumpy and upset, I was anxious, stressed and annoyingly... hungry all the time,, so I have put on a bit of weight too:( I didnt realise the changes in me until i went to visit my family for christmas and they said I was like a changed person, hyper sensitive snappy etc... since being off it i do feel SO much better and more myself. In short...sane.
Good Points
I didnt get pregnant...!
Bad Points
hungry all the time
upset, angry, anxious all the time...
The Verdict
not for me but im sure it depends very much on the individual.

Introduction
I went onto femodette after being on Cilest for a while, which made me have thrush and long periods. Femodette worked well for me, the periods were exactly 5 days, but they were slightly heavier than before so I decided to change again. I really wish I hadn't. Since then I've been on Mercilon (I fell to pieces at the slightest negative comment), Yasmin (experienced bad headaches on the 7 pill-free days), Cerazette (a mini pill which just made me bleed the whole time I was on it) and another mini pill, which I can't quite remember the name of- something like Femodene (again continual bleeding). I asked if i could go back onto femodette, as seemed the best of a bad bunch, but they seemed reluctant to put me back on it, so I decided to stop taking the pill altogether to give my body a rest. 6 Months on I've only had 2 periods, I've broken out in acne on my face, chest and back and have just started taking Dianette to see if it will help my skin. Fingers crossed this will work!!
Good Points
> Periods were exactly 5 days, no spotting.
> No weight gain
> No mood swings
Bad Points
> Periods slightly heavier, but in retrospect they were probably fine
The Verdict
This contraceptive pill has probably been the best so far and I have ben on many lol. Once my skin has cleared up and I stop taking Dianette I'm hoping to go back onto Femodette.

Introduction
This is the second time I have taken Femodette. The first time I had regular periods but was not ovulating and so had too much estrogen. Went on femodette as it is tipped in favour of progesterone and it worked fine overall. Now I am taking it again and as my periods are somewhat more erratic due to inflammation in the intestinal area due to food poisoning (campylobacter) I was fine the first two months but last month - the third month - I was very bloated.
Good Points
Sleeping really well
No mood swings
High libido
Not constipated
No weight gain
Bad Points
The first two pill free weeks I had terrible headaches but on both occasions there were headache viruses going around which may have aggravated it. Yesterday I started my [third] period since going on it and it is slightly different - earlier, heavier but the head doesn't seem as bad.

When I took it in 1999, I had zero side effects and felt great BUT I did get a bad headache on day 5 of the pill free week. I think headaches go hand in hand with gestodene, the progesterone in this pill.
The Verdict
Overall a good pill

Introduction
Funnily enough I used to be on microgynon and had no problems.
I've been on Femodette for 2 weeks and am stopping today as it's making me feel unbelievably nauseous and very very grumpy...

Introduction

FEMODETTE
I was just wondering if any of you girls have tried Femodette? This was the first pill I was put on to and never had any problems with it, no weight gain, no mood swings - nothing! The only thing I had a problem with was my periods were not coming through till the sixth day, which gave me and my partner many a scare lol! But I was then put onto Microgynon 30 which has been hellish to say the least! I know from self experience it maded me moody and hyper sensitive, anyhoo I was just wondering if you have any thoughts and experiences of femodette? Thanks for your input.
